Hi! My husband is working at the DENR and is always using GPS. I did not even bother to ask how to use it. When I come home, I can already brag that I already have a little knowledge on what he is doing.
the GPS unit and data gathering ar really fun! this is an awesome day! :D Three ideas came into mind because we already plan to do it this year buit i hope the GPS will enhance our peroject 1)our H3 coregidor trip (but how do we make it more science based? ideas anyone, for chem students) 2)the study about the pasig river (though we havent done an activity about water yet) but maybe we can intergrate social science and industry there 3) the lamesa watershed project (though i dont know if we will be permitted to do so :D) thanks so much for these!! :) much appreciated!!
hello my dear instructors, Thanks a lot for sharing to us your knowledge on how to use the GPS. Its a lot of fun while learning and doing the task assign to us.All i can say is that i'm so excited to share it to our place though we have only 1 GPS to be used. We'l try to find ways and means to do the job well. Thanks again and more power! God bless...
Since I am an active science teacher I am sure I can use it in many ways. not only in science subjects but also in scouting activities. I am very thankful I have this simenar.
Good afternoon Susan and Liza.Wow the day's activities made my participation very productive and fruitful. I loved learning how to manipulate the GPS gadget and navigating the school campus making tracks and waypoints.I'm positive my students will enjoy and learn more in our spelunking , mountain climbing, ecology , environmental science, geology and earth science activities. For the teachers I left behind, I will share the knowledge gained specifically in the study of geography, the preservation of the ancestral lands including the attributes thereat and even mapping the Indigenous people communities. This is a dream come true.I have climbed Mt Kitanglad & hopefully go back gather more data using the GPS.I am inviting you to visit Naawan, Misamis Oriental. It is our pleasure and honor to welcome you.More power and may your enthusiasm to share bear fruits. Olivia P. Hambre
thumps up! What a wonderful GPS day, thanks you very much for the gadgets, we will surely treasure this and surely the students will enjoy in learning to use this. Thanks a lot for so many things you shared to us. No exact enough words to describe how thankful we are. God Bless.
It really helps to my students using this GPS but the problem I have is how to use the hotlinks.... Please teach us how to use it so that we can also do that one in our school as we go back to our respectives areas.... Thank you... Hoping for the response tomorrow......
Hi, Maam Lisa, susan and sir mathew, Its a great day today i learned alot on the GPS on mapping my data., my question was answered in today's activity. I enjoyed a lot,and I think if i will apply this to my students they will enjoy also and challenge about their activites. Thank you for sharing with us, God will be the one to give rewards to you Maam Susan, Lisa and Sir Mat, Godbless! and Morepower
to all our efficient teachers Susan,Lisa and Matt,
Thank you so much for this great and wonderful experience. It give me a radical thinking on what GPS is.It is not nly for surveyors and geodetic engineers but for all. I am very much excited to relay what i learn from this seminar workshop firsthand to my co-teachers then to our students in our school. As a chemistry teacher I would use GPS in tracking and creating a map of basic kinds of chemical compounds and elements, living and non-living things, etc.
hello dear instructors, the GPS gadget is very very useful not only in my classroom activities but also in other school activities such as scouting and orientering. Especially that I am teaching ecology, it can be used in gathering data particularly in activities related to population density. Thank you once again for the wonderful gift I received today. May God bless you always as you continue your mission of sharing knowledge and blessings to everybody.
hello!!!! I'd learned a lot how to use GPS and how to make data but there's a question that comes in my mind..How to make a satelite image when we collect data in our place? If there is an image how can we manipulate/install/open it...use in classroom project in the coastal area where our located.
Hello again maam susan & maam lisa! It's a job well done again! Now, that I have already learned how to use the new introduced technology, I can brag to my co- teachers that I know how to use it and how am very proud to share it with my students. My problem is that I can't remember where I placed my files and can't locate it on the campus map..some kind of a memory gap!!hehehehe! Anyway, I try to look for it again. To Sir Matt: thanks for the assistance and the patience too.
Maam lisa: Thanks for the pin! It seems that I'm in Alabama. ...Or maybe I'm just dreaming..
Thank you for sharing not only the knowledge but also the gadget. By this time we can improve our research with our students and even in science activities that GPS can be use. Introduce this technology & how it works.
Hello dear teachers, Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on using GPS.It's wonderful and a lot of fun while doing and learning the assigned work you've given to us.I will try my best to share what I have learned today in my station. Again thank you so much and Godspeed.
Yeah! Learning how to use GSP units and collecting geospatial data is such a wonderful experience, indeed.
I will do a project similar to what we did today in the community where our school is located together with my students. Then from there we can make more challenging projects which probably related to some of our topics in the class.
i had really a great time today. it is an exciting day for me. each day had passed more and more learnings were being poured in our minds. i will share what i have learned to my students and co-teachers on how to use the GPS. this could be of great help in conducting a study in identifying streets in our city who have more garbage that were not properly disposed. thank you so much for everything.
Another day of encounter with great mentors made my participation to the activities productive and enriching. Thanks for the GPS gadget, a very useful tool in collecting spatial data and mapping certain factors of a project research.I believed these can be of great help to teachers and students who are engaged in project planning and collecting data.I'l maximize the use of gadget in our future activities and hope you can extend more gadgets to our constituents.More power!
Hi! The activities now are really fun and I enjoyed using this gadget. Its really a great help to my students when we have our activity in biology. Many thanks.
wow what a nice day.... thanks to mam lisa and mam susan.
im thinking of an activity for my students "Treasure Hunting" ill bury some treasures for them to locate and ill going to give the latitude and magnitude then they will going to locate the treasure using gps.
ill let my students map their houses so that, they can get the displacement of their houses to our school(student activity), i can group them for study group and other related activities.
thank you very much madam for everything... the knowledge you've shared to us, the GPS units.. everything thank you.
Hello! I think GPS is very helpful in gathering data. I would like to probe on the condition of water in our place using the GPS since I live near a coastal area with many industries situated along the coastline. I think GPS would help me investigate the extent of pollution brought about by these factories and plants. Thank you for bringing this technology to us.

my students shall map out the distribution of vertebrates around our campus using the GPS.. well, that's a part of my comparative vertebrate anatomy subject. after which, we will download it in the GIS.. im already excited to see the results.
We had fun in the whole duration of the MYCOE teachers workshop. Every part of the workshops we gained valuable lessons which we are excited to share to our co-teachers and to our students in our school. Thank really very very much. Thank you for the unending support as you promised even if we are already in our different respective places. Thank to the technology, thanks to the sponsoring agencies, thanks to kind hearted and energetic instructors, thanks to everybody who made this wonderful workshop succesful. Thank you very much
More power, God Bless for your travel going back home; ma'am Susan, ma'am Lisa, & sir Mat

our school is located within the industrial zone of the city.most of which are on canning fish(tuna)causing air pollution.
i'll use the gps in locating the canning companies which are proximate to our school.
