Welcome to the Teacher Professional Development Workshop
Hi and welcome to the MyCoe Teacher Professional Development Workshop in Davao City. Please add your comment about how you would like to see your students using online mapping and GIS tools in your classes. Thanks for your ideas! Susan
I'm very much thankful to the MyCOE organizations for accepting me as one of the participants on this seminar workshop because in the future I can share my knowledge to my school children.
as of now, i don't have any comment about the workshop but i really enjoy the activities that you have given to us. i promise that i will exert my effort to make tis seminar fruitful. after this workshop, i would really share my knowledge that from this seminar to my coe teachers as well as to my students. thank you so much mam susan, mam lesa, sir francis and to mam francis! SALAMAT!
It is an honor and a great priviledge to be one of the participants of this seminar workshop. I am very grateful to all of you for the untiring support to this activity. Well, it really taught me a lot of beneficial things which I could impart to my students and co-teachers. I love the workshop specially the hends-on activities. My co-participants are great too, the materials are helpful though I have to read it over and over since I am not yet very much familiar with those stuffs but it is exciting indeed. Thank you so much for all of these I hope you keep us posted with what's new about this organization.
Hi! Maam Susan, First and foremost I wonna say thank you for choosing me as one one your participant in this program, I'm very much happy and looking forward in the future that I will be successful in applying this program in our classroom. I know its very hard for me to introduce this program in the lower sections or let me say average students but I will do my best to impart this as far as I could. In this one day training I gained alot of insigths. It quite difficult for me to cope up all the topics but I am very eager to finish all the task given to me. You know maam honestly speaking i have some negative insigth for my student if they could cope this program if I will apply this, I have many questions in my mind of what to do on how to introduce this more interesting and challenging to part of the student but i know nothing impossible to God. I know that God will guide me in my incoming undertakings if I come home in my place. God Bless and More Power..
Having been chosen as a participant in this seminar-workshop is an honor. I learned new things which were also enjoyable as I went through the process. I believe these lessons on GIS will also be more beneficial to my students. They will learn a lot while enjoying hands-on activities. This is a very helpful technology that could help us, teachers, present our lessons quite easy and more interesting. God bless to the organizers of this seminar-workshop.
Hi! I'm having a great time on this workshop. I'm excited to see my students working using this tools. I think they would love it. This would help us in getting some geographical information that would help us in understanding some concepts in science and some phenomenon that happens within our environment. Hopefully we could come up and contribute great ideas on promoting a sustainable environment using geographical learnings. - Rudelyn "pem" Rosas
hi! as of this moment, i am learning so many things especially on the GIS of which i am new to this things...hope that i can learn more on this training...Thank you very much and more power!
I want to thank you for the wonderful and rare opportunity you all have given to us. The workshop is very challenging because it's new to me yet it encourages me to give my best shot to learn more about GIS and online mapping and use these tools in integrating it with my lessons in the classroom with my students.
Well, the online mapping and GIS would be very useful in my integrated science and physics classes because it can somehow enhance my students comprehension in terms of understanding some concepts as we all know that students nowadays learn better if they see visual stuff.
As to how am I going to apply it? I will integrate it to topics like climate, weather, planet and the like.
The GIS teachnique would be great help to my students. I'm very much thankful as one of the participants on this workshop so I can share my learnings to my students. It's really great and exciting.
Hi Good afternoon Susan. I loved and enjoyed the challenging tasks you have given to us today. I suggest that we go out and have actual GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing inside the campus. Thank you very much.
though we only have a few units of computer and a very slow internet connection im sure my students will enjoy using GIS tools... but of course i have to learn if first so that i can teach them well.
I would like to see them enjoy just like what I felt on this training program especially the application of this ideas to the subject that I'm teaching which is Geometry.
Thanks to this Progam, MyCoe (the very good trainors)to the new techno that I've learned.
Hi Susan! Despite my age and limitation in computer technology, I tried to actively participate and perform the tasks you have required us to do. I know the knowledge I will gained from this training would greatly enhance my teaching strategy and efficiency in imparting information about planet Earth in general and specifically in sustaining and conserving GOD'S creations. We are all encourage to be good and responsible stewards. My gratitude and appreciation to all the facilitators & sponsors. Olivia P. Hambre
On line mapping and using GIS as tools in teaching is very effective most especially in the rural community like ours, Oroquieta City. But the problem is that most of our teatchers are not computer literates, I mean those whose schools having no computer units in school.
But, we will do our best to motivate teachers to be resourceful and innovative in their teaching. God speed and more power.
Hello! It's really great to have you as one of our Trainers in MyCoE Workshop. I am happy to be here. I really learned a lot with our topic today regarding the use of GIS to help us in gathering needed data which are helpful in our lessons. I would like my students to learn and use this software. I know it will increase their interest in scientific inquiry which will encourage them to be more involved in worthwhile activities for the environment.
Mam Susan, I'm very thankful that I'm one of the lucky participants of this MYCOE Workshop. I believed this could be of great help for me to impart to my students the knowledge I've learned in this workshop. This could help our students on how to explore the world. GOD BLESS to the organizer of this program.

Hi Susan! It's a great opportunity to be a participant in the seminar workshop. The knowledge that we gained in this training would gave us more insights on how to use the geographic technologies, not just for myself but for the students as the stakeholders of learnings. Kudos to the organizers on this training. Jennifer Lopez-Natonio
Hi Susan! I have learned so much from your sharing today that made me confident in understanding the importance of utilizing the softwares and relevant websites to provide teachers and students access to vital information on geography. You did a job well done in inspiring the participants to do the tasks of the workshop.
To MYCOE Orgainzers: It's very nice to hear from your lectures and the new systems you introduced to us! It's really worth since those systems are new to me. I'm hoping to cope with the activities we go through. I'm not that familiar of the terminologies and the tool bars on the screen. I'm still learning of that. Thanks a lot for the time, patience and support you give to us. I salute you all!! God bless you all and more power!
To Susan & the gang, i feel great having this seminar workshop. it's kinda hard but wonderful experience learning geographic network. I know i have to double time at home to make things works. daghang salamat. alejandro lasola, jr.
There it goes! They already mentioned everything. Another great seminar by USAID after that of CLIC program. Nice to be with these guys who are somehow part with the NASA and NOAA administrations...frankly i enjoy NASA programs.Whatever it is, keep up the good work and take the challenges MyCOE participants!

God Bless you more & More Power! You are really Wonderful and rare teachers... Mabuhay Tayong Lahat
about the question how I would like to see my students using online mapping and GIS tools in your classes? I anticipate a more simplified map(i.e. it should be categorized from a more comprehensive area to a more specific area eg. continents-country-cities and so on) geographical terminologies should have easy-to-understand definition(built-in dictionary)and geographical symbols should appear as easy-to-understand symbols like hospitals will appear as a red cross. Hope you can facilitate this request. Thank you and I look forward to it!
Hi! u know what things u've shared to us is very challenging bcoz I learned much of it. Everytime I explor to the topic it make me aware and excited what comes next. Thank u for the time the skills u've share to us.
Hello Maam Susan! I felt better today than yesterday. I have learned a lot from the exercises you have given to us...slowly but sure i was able to follow the instructions and got familiar with the new tools on the new system. These systems are much useful in our classes especially in teaching physical science and biology--specifically on biodiversity, ecology and genetics. Though we have only few computers but I'll try to introduce the GIS, GPS and the geographic mapping online to my students.Well, I find it more informative and intersting.I hope we could ask some informations and ideas from you as we go back to our respective schools. Thanks again Maam!! God bless you and your companions too.
Hi ma'am Susan, Sorry just this time that I send my comments for May 20. Using GIS is one of the promising tool in science instruction.
